The first video-on-demand streaming service for people living with dementia
Watching TV is a popular occupation for older people, but people in the middle-to-late stages of dementia are unable to follow regular TV programmes because of cognitive impairment, struggling with fast-paced plots and camera moves, complex visual information and loud music (Funnell, 2019).
That’s why we’ve created My Life TV, the first video-on-demand streaming service designed specifically for people living with dementia, showing programmes that have been created and adapted for their cognitive needs.
The service runs on a secure web platform powered by Vimeo which means it is easily accessible via TV, mobile or desktop.
Our dementia-friendly programmes come from a diverse mix of sources; some have been created in-house by our fantastic filmmakers, some come from our brilliant content partners including Kew Gardens, Getty Images, Fremantle and British Pathé, and some come from leading producers and distributers whose work is being brought to people living with dementia for the first time.
