Who we are
My Life Films is a UK-registered charity dedicated to improving the lives of people affected by dementia.
We are passionate about the power of film and television to bring people deep connection, wide-ranging stimulation and moments of pure joy. We know however that people living with dementia are often excluded from, and even distressed by, many mainstream television programmes - the plots might be too complex, the music, too loud.
My Life Films was founded in 2014 to serve the needs of people living with dementia; all our work is dementia-centred – purposefully designed to meet the cognitive needs of people living with dementia, and to support their care staff, families and friends.
“We saw first-hand the impact of having topics of interest available to people whenever they wished. A person who had previously been silent and disengaged came to life when a ballroom-dancing programme was put on, becoming immersed in dancing, and clearly thoroughly enjoying themselves."

What we do
Through our on-demand streaming service My Life TV we offer dementia-friendly television to thousands of people at home and in care across the UK every year - improving mood, reducing anxiety, and providing vital respite for carers at home, and enjoyable and stimulating group activities for care staff in settings.
My Life TV offers a wide variety of carefully selected and created content to meet the cognitive needs of people living with dementia. The wide range of programmes include specially produced quizzes, singalongs, drawing and chair yoga, as well as animal and nature programmes, feel good content, popular shows from the 1960s onwards and more.
