My Life TV for Individuals & Families

Our dementia-friendly TV streaming service is a fantastic resource to keep loved ones stimulated and connected to the world, improving the mental health and supporting their essential care. The high quality programming can give periods of respite for primary carers and the interactive content can help with communication.

My Life TV offers a wide variety of carefully selected and created content to meet the cognitive needs of people living with dementia. The wide range of programmes include specially produced quizzes, singalongs, drawing and chair yoga, as well as animal & nature programmes, feel good content, popular shows from the 1960s onwards and more.

It has been seen to improve the mood and wellbeing of people living with dementia, providing moments of calm, joy or stimulation as needed.

Our Individuals subscription provides access to My Life TV on up to 3 devices, accessible at any time of the day. We offer an initial trial for 7 day, free of charge, after which it costs £3.89 per month. We also offer a number of free subscriptions on application, for people who would not otherwise be able to access My Life TV.

How do I subscribe to My Life TV?

You can start your free trial here.

You will then be asked to add in your personal details. You’ll need a credit or debit card, email address and to create a password.

You can also subscribe to My Life TV through Apple, Google Play or Amazon App stores.

How do I watch My Life TV?

My Life TV is web-based which means you watch on a laptop, tablet or phone. The same principle as Netflix and Amazon Prime, you can watch whenever you want on all your devices.

You can also watch My Life TV directly on your television via Amazon Firestick, Apple TV and Android TV.

Our apps in Google Play and App stores allow for easy access via your phone, tablet or laptop.

If I don't feel My Life TV is quite right for me, can I unsubscribe?

Yes, if you log into your account, navigate to the Settings menu in the top right corner and select ‘manage subscription’.

From here you can select ‘cancel subscription’ and then choose ‘I want to cancel’ and then ‘cancel subscription’.

There’s the option at this stage to give the reason you wish to unsubscribe which helps the charity improve the service.

What sort of programmes are on My Life TV?

There’s a huge variety of programmes on My Life TV, which are categorised into topics.

Animals which includes shows like Pet Babies, Farm Babies & Puppy Secrets.

Feelgood & Comedy which includes Gift of Laughter, Babies and Toddlers, silent comedy and some vintage comedy from the 1970s.

Music has plenty of music shows, some from the 1960s, a Soul Session form London Community Gospel Choir and you can join in with a sing-a-long with our very own Mr Meredith.

There’s Nature and Travel, Royalty, History, Hometown Memories, Arts, Life As It Was, Sports including the 1980 Men’s Singles Final starring Bjorn Borg and John McEnroe, Hobbies and Childhood Memories.

How does My Life TV help people living with dementia & carers?

My Life TV is a fantastic tool for activity providers and caregivers:

It can keep residents or loved ones engaged and occupied with meaningful activities such as quizzes. For example, guess the name of the Hollywood Star, Music Star, British Actors, Animals and all sorts of topics.
It’s an enhancing therapeutic provision, supporting exercise and enabling social connection. Join in with a yoga session with My Life TV’s Carolin-Marie or sing along to a favourite tune with Mr Meredith.
It provides opportunities for respite or delivery of care. A choice of slow TV, animal shows, reminiscence and more.
The programmes can help improve mood, quality of life and care, helping to address feelings of agitation, anxiety and apathy.

What’s the difference between care home and individual subscriptions?

The care home subscription allows up to thirty devices to be used for a cost of £29.99 per month for households.

With the individual subscription, you pay £3.99 per month for three devices.
