We are a group of passionate filmmakers who believe that every person has an amazing story to tell. Memories define who we are and losing our memories is cruel, especially when you live with dementia. Therefore, at My Life Films we capture the memories of people living with dementia before they disappear. We record them on video so that people affected by dementia can celebrate their lives and maintain their identity.
Dementia is one of the biggest challenges our society faces today. Currently, there are over 800,000 people living with the disease in the UK and the health and social care system is in crisis as there is no cure in sight. People living with dementia have a right to live hopefully and we help them to do so. We aim to improve the quality of life of people living with dementia and we help them to fight isolation.
Additionally, we are training young filmmakers and offer them a route into the world of media. If you want to know more about us and how you can support us please call us on 020 8948 7560.”
